{365 project 2014}

Wow. What a year. When I thought about starting this project, I honestly did not think it would last. I’ve always been very good at starting things and not finishing them… a coloring page, a glass of milk, knitting a scarf, a daily planner, meal planning, laundry… oh this list could go on.  However, I knew this year would be one I would want to remember. It turned out to be a year full of intense sadness and overwhelming joy, so many firsts, adventures, snuggles… everything. After having Oliver, time seemed to go into a new warp speed. This project has enabled me to go back to these daily moments and fully remember them. No lost days. Thank-you 2014 for opening my heart xo

{2/365} I love how he reads “My Milk Toof” by Inhae Lee almost every single day. Some days just looking through, some days telling me the story as he sees it.

Day one {1/365} With the anticipation of our baby boy in April, I’ve decided this year {2014} would be a great year to start a 365 project! I am going to relax the rules a little bit for myself so that I can make it happen {last weeks of pregnancy/birth/new baby/unknown}. So incredibly excited to see Oliver’s growth and his connection to baby bean. At the end of this year, I am hoping to create a printed book which would be such a wonderful keep sake to have for our family.

Mark Saunders - I love your 365 series. Beautifully captured. Can I ask what camera you are using. I’m an aspiring photographer and have some great gear, canon 5d III with great lenses plus Lightroom and Photoshop. I struggle with skin tones though. Your skin tones are perfect in every shot. Your shots are super natural – don’t look like shots straight from a camera but the processing is really organic and warm. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! Mark

Theresa - You are a fantastic photographer, and have 2 of the most beautiful subjects. I’m not even sure how I got here, but I’m sure glad I did.

May 15, 2014 - 3:48 am

Catherine - I am blown away by the beauty and purity in your images (of the love Oliver has for Alistair mostly but also of the love you clearly have for your children). It took me back instantly to the days when my youngest and her sisters met (as twins the older two have a different connection lol). To how perfect my world was when I watched them together. And how perfect it still is 7 years later.
